September 2006

Signal box dismantled and removed from Exminster. More details in the Removal Journal.

October 2006

The component parts of the signal box have been moved from Exminster to Ashchurch MOD base where we have arranged for them to be stored.

February 2007

The component parts of the signal box have now been moved from Ashchurch to Winchcombe and stacked in the yard. We are having a workshop building built in which we will restore the building.

June 2007

A working party at Broadway Station makes good progress clearing the site, and uncovers the remains of the foundations of the original signal box. Photo by Paul Fuller and Nigel Black (External sites).

August 2007

Plan is formed to erect workshop in future car park at Broadway. Site visit to be held and plans to be constructed in the near future. Hopefully the signal box should be moving from Winchcombe soon... suitable target date November 5th...?

June 2008

After much messing about and let-down promises, the signal box finally moved to Newent this month where we will be able to work on preserving it. Full steam ahead now.... hopefully!
